How do I 'manually' upload and link files using the Edit Window?
From the Admin Panel, open the page where you want the link to the file to appear.
- In the Edit Window, type the text that you want to be linked (eg Click here to download).
- Highlight the text with your mouse.
- Click on the Link icon on the toolbar. A pop-up window will appear.
- Click Browse Server. The Roxy file manager popup window will open.
TO UPLOAD A NEW FILE - IF FILE IS ALREADY UPLOADED, SKIP TO STEP 10
- Select destination folder in the left hand pane for the file type you want to upload (eg downloads > file > pdf ).
- Click the Add file button at the top left of the right hand pane. An Upload files popup window will open.
- Find the files you want to upload on your local system (you can select multiple files from the same folder), then click the Upload button.
Tip: you can also drag a single file into the window.
- Once the file/s have indictated they have finished uploading (100%), close the Upload files window. You will return to the Roxy file manager window and the new image filename/s will appear in the list in the right pane.
- Click on the filename in the list. The Roxy file manager window will close and the file location will be displayed in the URL field of the Link window.
- Click OK. The Link window will close and the text you selected in #3 will now be linked to the file.
- Click on the Click to Submit button to save your changes to the page.
