How do I upload teaching files (audio or pdf) to my website?

1) Using FileZilla (or another FTP client), upload files as follows:

• PDF Document file: upload to the folder  /downloads/files/pdf/   on the server
• MP3 Audio file: upload to the folder  /downloads/files/mp3/  on the server

Note: Please make sure your filenames are all lowercase, and do not contain any spaces or any other symbols (ie letter and numbers ONLY).  To give the appearance of a space in the filename, you may use an underscore _ or hyphen -.

2) Add the Teaching to the database from your Admin Panel (www.yourwebsitename.co.za/admin/)

• Click Teachings (or Sermons, Preaches, etc.):   Add

• Enter a title for the teaching (Heading) 

• Enter any of the following as required:
  • Sub-heading.
  • Author.
  • Series (Category).
  • Summary - one or two paragraphs of plain text.
  • Message.

Older systems (if you prefer, request us to update your Admin Panel)

• Enter any of the following as required:
  • Linked Text File - enter as follows, where filename is the EXACT name of the file you uploaded in step1, including the file extension:  pdf/filename
  • Linked Audio - enter as follows, where filename is the EXACT name of the file you uploaded in step1, including the file extension:  mp3/filename

• Select the Text, Audio or Video file you require from the dropdown menu.

• Enter the text you require to appear for the link (optional)

3) Click to Submit
